google earth port broken

Version 4.0.1693 also crashes on my box (Dell Latitude D810, ATI X600
video card -> OpenGL emulation) after drawing the main window.  Removing
~/.googleearth does not help.  It returns error code 76 to the shell.

The first ported version worked slow but well...
