This message is also shown during boot even if rc.conf doesn't have any
samba-related variables set.

0
[rainer at bsd ~]$ grep 'not set properly' /var/log/messages
Aug 11 19:25:13 bsd root: /etc/rc.shutdown: WARNING: $samba_enable is

Aug 11 22:17:48 bsd root: /etc/rc: WARNING: $samba_enable is not set
