Thunderbird error on fresh 5.4 install

Expanding on this ...

After updating Xorg - Thunderbird, Firefox, and Mozilla dump the same 
errors. I am getting this same error in /var/log/Xorg.0.log withiout any 
other details.  Is anyone else getting or seen this?
