Hear hear. Of course, the regime actually already is in force and 
port-submissions with ports at freebsd.org are no longer accepted. Given the 
rate of port-submissions and the manpower available to deal with them, that's 
arguably not all bad however.

Patches/Updates for unmaintained ports don't make the submitter automatically 
the maintainer by the way.
