This is incorrect - the responsible committer is actually sem.  I made
some changes to the index script that prevent it from seeing some more
of the host settings (e.g. installed perl version), which exposed this
problem introduced a few days ago.  This will also produce more
correct indexes that e.g. do not include dependencies on perl 5.8 on
4.x systems.
