Did you try the 'k' port, print/dvipsk-tetex, which is also listed on
print/teTex metaport?

And from print/dvipsk-tetex/Makefile ...

  CONFLICTS=      *-teTeX-[0-9]* \
                  ja-ptex-*-[0-9]* \
                  dvips-[0-9]* \
                  *-dvips-[0-9]* \
                  *-dvipsk-[0-9]*

... so it seems it won't be conflicting w/ teTeX-base.
