Passing make flags to a dependency

Hi, I'm a noob to making a port, and am creating a port for my project
netdisco, which has a truck-load of dependencies.
One of those dependencies is apache2 with SSL turned on. I need to know how
to pass the "WITH_SSL_MODULES=yes" flag to the apache2 port?
Thanks folks!
