Azureus not building with current Eclipse

Azureus hasn't been working for me for several weeks now, and it wont build 
correctly (FreeBSD 5.4 and up-to-date ports). 

In the Azureus Makefile there is: 

BUILD_DEPENDS=  \      
${LOCALBASE}/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.gtk_${ECLIPSE_VERSION}/ws/gtk/swt.jar:
${PORTSDIR}/java/eclipse

which leads to 

===>   azureus-2.2.0.2_6 depends on 
file: /usr/local/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.gtk_3.1/ws/gtk/swt.jar - not 
found

But eclipse does not install an "org.eclipse.swt.gtk_3.1" directory. 
Consequently make either builds eclipse and fails to install it or, if I 
deinstall eclipse, the Azureus build finds a lot of things missing.
