I've developed it on 4.X and it worked fine. I've switched to
5.3-BETA6 today and I see that it crashes when closing the properties
and when adding a mailbox. It looks like the problem is that GCC 3.4
does not like the code generated by GOB2. I'll fix this and release a
new version.

Regarding the libsoup-ssl-proxy processes, they disappear as soon as
the connection to Gmail is closed.
