If the patch adds a new feature for only one OS I would hesitate
to include it, since I prefer functionality to be available on many
platforms.
Translation: if it's a patch made by the Mutt folks that runs under most
all platforms Mutt runs under, he'll accept a filetype.vim patch; but if
it is a change specific to a single OS, he seems to prefer that we take
care of it ourselves.
