Hello,
As far as I can see, this kind of problem was solved by this commit:
http://www.freshports.org/commit.php?message_id=200310140045.h9E0jUT9093234@repoman.freebsd.org
Try updating ports as described here:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/ports-using.html
and upgrade xfree86-4-libraries, then try installing xfree86-4-clients again.
