xemacs port fails to compile (4-stable)

All,

The stable xemacs port failed to compile with "portinstall xemacs" on
FreeBSD 4-Stable (ports last cvsup'd and updated a few hours ago).

There seem to be two related errors saying "Invalid read syntax ((". in
wrong context"))" in lisp/auto-autoloads.el.

Below is a cut of script output from the install (apologies for all the
^M's at the end of lines)
