In regards to the "ldap.2" dependency using OpenLDAP 2.1 versus the 
installed 2.2, I have found that the problem is in 
/usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk where USING_OPENLDAP_VER=22 (as suggested in the 
Postfix configuration screen) doesn't translate into WANT_OPENLDAP_VER=22 
with Postfix and thereby cause it to use the installed OpenLDAP 2.2.
