portupgrade core dumps with a ruby in malloc(): error:allocationfailed

Alex,

I erased the database and even INDEX files and rebuilt with -Uu serveral 
times over the last couple of days but as I remember it was before the ln 
for malloc.conf, not sure that is important, but this time it seems to be 
working.
Let me find my pointy little hat and stool.
