Sorry, i don't mean to highjack this thread but,
where would i go to find out more about this bug?
I've been having sound problems on 2 freebsd boxes where after a while, all
pcm sound runs at reduced speed, like quarter or so. I haven't been able to
find anything about this anywhere ...well, Google.
One was a tecra 8000 / neomagic sound using 2 vchans / kde-3.2.0
fbsd4.9 stable
The other is now on a p3 / sb128 also using 2 vchans / kde-3.3.1 fbsd 4.10.
In both cases i use the 2nd channel to run linux-realplayer.
The only fix i've been able to come up with is a reboot.
my /etc/sysctl.conf on those systems
hw.snd.maxautovchans=4
hw.snd.pcm0.vchans=4
oh, and my kernel's built with GENERIC plus these:
device pcm
options IPSEC
options IPSEC_ESP
options IPSEC_DEBUG
options HZ=1000
I was hoping that this bug and the patch might provide me with a solution.
Either way, any help on this would be greatly appreciated
