Actually I can't remember getting mail about this, and I can't
find such in the spamfolder either... (I don't have an amd64
installation to test ports on, sorry.)

Anyway, looking at my qemu list archive i find mention of this
bugreport,
	https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=138627
with in turn says the bug should be fixed in "gcc-3.4.3-4 in rawhide"
and is tracked at
	http://gcc.gnu.org/PR17825
which has patches. So you could try those patches, or try building
against the gcc 3.4 in ports, assuming it is a recent enough snapshot
(i.e. newer than the system compiler. Another post said gcc 3.3
worked as well, so you could also try that...)

Or i guess you could just use an i386 binary, tho building that probably
requires an i386 installation, or an i386 chroot at least. (Or is there
even already a mechanism for cross-building ports for other archs?)

 HTH,
	Juergen
