PR ports/74587

I think I made a mistake submitting this PR.  For some reason it 
didn't make it's way to the ports mailing list.  I used gtk-send-pr 
and I don't see an immediately obvious place where I could CC this 
list. 
An error that I know I made for certain was omitting [patch] in the 
subject.  If someone would point me in the right direction I would be 
very greatful.
