Now that the ports tree is slushed for 5.1, I think it's time to make
the announcement that the GNOME 1.4 desktop and all dependent ports are
slated for removal after 5.1 is released. This is only the _desktop_.
The GNOME 1.4 libraries will remain. Ports affected by this are:
gnomecore
sawfish
gnomeapplets
gnomemedia
gtop
libgtop
nautilus
gedit
xalf
bugbuddy
gnomegames
gnomeutils
gdm
eog
ggv
gnome
gnome-fifth-toe
libpanel
gnomecontrolcenter(?)
libcapplet(?)
As well as dependent ports:
seti_applet
glunarclock
gfax
gnomeicu
gtm
flink
gnomepilot
gnomepilot-conduits
battstat-applet
bubblemon
gvid
gnoclip
py-gnome
panel--
Ports such as xmms will be modified to remove libpanel support. If you
have a strong objection to this, speak now.
