FreeBSD Port: openldap-2.2.0.a_2

hello,

i am curretly trying to install the ports version
of openldap 2.2.0.a.

i am using the following FreeBSD version:

FreeBSD abyssworld.abyssworld.de 5.0-RELEASE
FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE #3: Wed Jul 23 12:40:28 CEST 2003
root at abyssworld.abyssworld.de:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/ABYSSONE
i386

unfortunatly the port's Makefile does not run the
configure script that comes with OpenLDAP. as a
result there is no Makefile in work/openldap-2.2.0alpha
(there is just the original Makefile.inc).

can you explain what is going wrong, i currently
have libtool version 1.3.4 & 1.5 & 1.4.3 installed
on my system.

does this missbehaviour occure because the port's
Makefile is picking the wrong libtool version?
