how many ports?

www.freebsd.org/ports is updated weekly, I believe.

As far as I can tell, port number 10,000[*] was palm/uppc-kmod committed
at Mon Dec 29 16:33:02 2003 UTC -- that's going by the freshports.org
count.

Yesterday I noticed the count at the freshports site was 10,003 but my
own 'make index' run only found 10,001 ports.  I did send an e-mail to
freebsd-advocacy at ... but that seems to have vanished into the ether.

[*] Well, it's the port that took the number of currently available
ports to 10,000, not the 10,000th port ever committed.
