firebird and xemacs locking up/crashing "in pairs"???

I can't, sorry. It was just a gut feeling... :)

Which window manager do you run? Perhaps it is a combination thing, 
something that only show up when running certain window managers? Noone 
here has mentioned problems when running GNOME, for example. Can we get it 
to fail in GNOME?
