Patch from upstream

This is a patch submitted upstream [1] to fix a segfault which occurs when
using ECDSA keys (reported upstream last year [3]). It's already been submitted
& accepted by Ubuntu [3].

Would it be possible to get this patch added to the port until it's merged
upstream?
