OpenJDK builds for Linux have been released, though the sources for it are not
obvious.  An openjdk9 and openjdk-jre port would be wonderful.

http://jdk.java.net/9/ with hg sources at http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk9;
there's likely a source tarball but I haven't found the magic URL for that yet
(if there is one; maybe it's mercurial only now?  I'm still looking)

Happy to assist with the packaging and testing work.
