sssd does not assume that; that's what krb5-libraries says.

Are you sure that you have the same time on Active Directory and
FreeBSD? Maybe you have different timezones configured.

Did you use kinit from heimdal or from MIT kerberos (/usr/ vs. /usr/local)

BTW do you have configured ntpd against AD machine or some general purpose NTP
server?
