While I can appreciate that this trips you up a little when first
starting to use FreeBSD, I think this doesn't belong in the ports
tree.  It's a configuration issue that can be fixed by running

cd /usr/local/etc/fonts/conf.d && ln -s ../conf.avail/70-no-bitmaps.conf

Please just add it to your system setup script instead.  I'm sure you
have one where you apply other settings your system needs too.
