Do you have some weird DNS problems? What does `host -t srv
_http._tcp.portsnap.freebsd.org` say for you?

I'm not 100% certain since your DNS issues mean that I'm not sure which mirror
you're hitting, but I suspect that you're running into a glitch caused when a
mirror got overloaded by people upgrading to 11.0-RELEASE and crashed with some
filesystem corruption resulting. This should be fixed soon; in the mean time,
try pointing portsnap at ec2-eu-west-1.portsnap.freebsd.org.
