FreeBSD: 11.0 w zfs

After installing gitlab 8.11.11 everything works, except creating or importing
a repository.

Creating a repository results in: Failed to create repository via gitlab-shell

Trying to import a repository results in: Unable to save project. Error: Failed
create wikiProject ID: 1, trying to start import after that, production.log
emits:

NoMethodError (undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass):
  app/controllers/projects/imports_controller.rb:14:in `create'
  lib/gitlab/request_profiler/middleware.rb:15:in `call'
  lib/gitlab/middleware/go.rb:16:in `call'


Check says everything is okay, permissions are right (directories get created),
event tried with a ufs (md) mount on the repository, in case it's an zfs issue.
