            Bug ID: 214566
Summary: mysql57 fater version 5.7.12 cannot keep up with
                    replication
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: amd64
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs at FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: pete at twisted.org.uk

Versions of mysql after 5.7.12 are horribly slow to replicate, getting hours
behind. During thistle they are not using CPU or filesystem. Reverting to mysql
5.7.12 and the catch up in seconds.

I filed this as a bug with mysql, but it may be a FreeBSD issue. I am running
on top of ZFS, under STABLE/10 - I have not tried this with 11 yet.

5.7.13 and 5.7.15 are both affected.

the mysql bug is here: https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=83000

I can reproduce this early, and am happy to setup a login for someone to
investigate the issue.
