Please do not make yet another bsd.*.mk it should be done as a USES: USES=node
or something like that.

Second we do need checksum and make sure we validate that what we are packaging
is really what has been tested (aka the sources) so this cannot be added until
we can get checksums. so this will have to wait for
https://github.com/npm/npm/issues/10406 to be fixed (as pointed in your patch)
