Fair enough. Could I then create a 'mrundlg' project on Github, add the
existing code there, as well as the current release archive?

I could supply you with the direct download URL to the release archive.

I guess at the same time I could apply the existing patch, found in ports, to
the source code too, and then bump the release version number.
