Bug ID: 201583
Summary: security/nmap: failure on 10.x when INET6 is disabled
in kernel
Product: Ports & Packages
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Some People
Priority: ---
Component: Individual Port(s)
Assignee: ohauer at FreeBSD.org
Reporter: ml at netfence.it
Flags: maintainer-feedback?(ohauer at FreeBSD.org)
Assignee: ohauer at FreeBSD.org
Running 10.x with a kernel with IPv6 disabled, nmap does not work:
> # nmap -sP -PI 10.1.2.0/24
>
> Starting Nmap 6.47 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2015-07-15 12:58 CEST
> route_dst_generic: Failed to obtain system routes: getsysroutes_dnet: sysroutes_dnet_find_interfaces() failed
It does not matter whether port's "IPV6" option is enabled or not.
9.x and kernels with "options INET6" are not affected.
