also, I commited to motsognir's SVN a new "mini-feature" in code, to allow one
to set the default location of motsognir.conf at compile time using a
command-line define, for example: -DCONFIGFILE=/usr/local/etc/motsognir.conf

no idea if it helps, but it's here now...
