It is considered user error to use the output of makeplist without editing it. 
*ESPECIALLY* with regards to directory removal.  That is why the first list
says "don't use this".

Yes, please fix the pkg-plist. 
don't forget the makeplist makes other errors commonly, like adding
substitutions of variable that don't belong.  Review every line of it.
