>Description:
Everything was working fine yesterday. I upgraded packages today (30 March).
These packages were upgraded/installed:
pkg: ca_root_nss reinstalled: 3.15.5
pkg: curl reinstalled: 7.35.0
pkg: dbus reinstalled: 1.6.18
pkg: dejavu reinstalled: 2.34_3
pkg: libiconv reinstalled: 1.14_3
pkg: libopenraw reinstalled: 0.0.9
pkg: db42-4.2.52_5 installed
pkg: py27-libxml2 reinstalled: 2.8.0
pkg: qt4-corelib reinstalled: 4.8.5_3
pkg: qt5-core reinstalled: 5.2.1_1
pkg: ruby reinstalled: 1.9.3.484_2,1
pkg: gegl reinstalled: 0.2.0_6
pkg: libcddb reinstalled: 1.3.2_2
pkg: mutt reinstalled: 1.5.23_1
pkg: qt5-script-5.2.1 installed
pkg: otter-browser reinstalled: 0.3.01
The next time I ran xinit, Xorg (with fvwm) wouldn't load anymore. It just exits after a second or so and returns to the terminal.
There's nothing worth noting in the 'Xorg' or 'messages' logs.
I installed twm, but it didn't work either. I installed fluxbox and it worked. I must say I'm surprised as these 3 WMs require libiconv.
But I do believe the problem is caused by libiconv because I force-uninstalled it and reinstalled the previous version (1.14_2) and everything works fine again.
Of course this is not really a serious fix.
>How-To-Repeat:
Upgrade to converters/libiconv-1.14_3 and Xorg with fvwm or twm stops working.
