>Description:
I am currently trying to use Shotwell 0.15 to organize some photos, but
the current version is crashing with a message that basically indicates
it is failing to play a file; and it is also leaving two core files:
shotwell-video-thum.core
shotwell.core
Running strings on the video-thum.core indicates that shotwell fails on
this file: M16.mpg and then on this file: julia_reel.mpg. These files
used to successfully import.
I notice on the Shotwell page for 0.18 release notes that:
* Fixed resource leak when importing videos
Perhaps an upgrade to Shotwell .18 will remedy this issue.
>How-To-Repeat:
Open shotwell, and wait until it crashes; if so, it is likely to be choking on a video file.
>Fix:
.18, according to the web page, remedies this.
