This port throws the following error when you try to install it against PHP 5.4:

---- Ignored: cannot be installed: doesn't work with lang/php5 port (doesn't support PHP 5.4 5.2)

However there is nothing in the Zabbix documentation to suggest that there is a problem running it against PHP 5.4. In fact that appears to be the recommended PHP version.
