I try to use foomatic-rip for spooler less printing.

1. "foomatic-rip --ppd ppdfile -v inputfile"
Foomatic hangs waiting for stdin and continues with Ctrl-D.

2. "foomatic-rip --ppd ppdfile -v <inputfile"
Foomatic-rip seems to fail in calling a2ps as input filter.
