>Description:
On the i386 architecture, ports-mgmt/portbuilder fails to complete the build of large ports, such as x11/xorg. There are many zombie processes when portbuilder hangs (217 in my latest run, with 215 ports done).
>How-To-Repeat:
On a clean system, "portsnap fetch extract", build ports-mgmt/portmaster, build portbuilder via "portmaster -dgGH ports-mgmt/portbuilder", run "portbuilder -P x11/xorg". In my experience, the build will never complete. The number of zombie processes goes steadily up as ports are completed.
