 Gotcha, I now realize I never ran the 'init' - hence probably a good =
 assortment of problems.
 
 I ended up doing the install on CentOS 5.6 instead, will give the =
 FreeBSD port a whirl another time, but that would be weeks/months in the =
 future.
 
 I presume it would be best to close this out since almost assuredly the =
 problem I ran into was from not doing the zenoss 'init'.
