>Description:
After upgrading from 3.5.x to 3.6 I cannot connect to any web site
via ssl (https). I completely deinstalled Firefox, manually deleting all
plugin directories and my ~/.mozilla directory.
I tried enabling ssl2 via about_config, but that does not help.
I reinstalled all crypto/ssl related ports Firefox depends on.
Firefox keeps trying to connect, eating memory. In that situation
I cannot finish Firefox normally, I have to kill it.

BTW, Thunderbird3 suffers from the same problem: No
chance to create an E-Mail account using encryption.

The (older) Sunbird perfectly accepts an ICS calendar
accessed via https.
