>Description:
Without sendmail_enable="NONE" and using gnome 2.24, there is a difficult issue receiving shared memory segments reliably from the available address space. Applications such as gstreamer/totem are affected notably, however, shmget fails on an increased basis (as opposed to never failing) when logged into gnome.
>How-To-Repeat:
keymap="us.iso"
linux_enable="YES"
moused_enable="NO"
sshd_enable="YES"
gnome_enable="YES"
dbus_enable="YES"
hald_enable="YES"
apache_enable="YES"
sendmail_enable="NO"
Install gnome, do not disable sendmail, launch video that requires a particular amount of shared memory...larger/high res videos with totem or gstreamer. Or, a text file that would require a non-trivial amount of memory to write() or fwrite() to a file or other IPC.
>Fix:
Disable Sendmail.
