 It *should* work.
 The Xv issue was fixed recently and since /usr/X11R6 is just a symlink
 to /usr/local a properly set up box won't show any difference whether
 using --with-extra-libdir=/usr/X11R6/lib or not.
 But yeah, it would be nice if the pr originator could confirm.
