GIMP has an OPTION to depend on rsvg, but since 2.6 it depends on GEGL, 
which depends on rsvg, so you always end up with rsvg on your HDD and 
probably GIMP may as well use it always, since it's always there (that 
unless the rsvg-support in GIMP is cumbersome by itself).
