FreeBSD freebsd6.internal.hatchan.nl 6.2-RELEASE-p4 FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p4 #0: Thu Apr 26 17:40:53 UTC 2007 root at i386-builder.daemonology.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
>Description:
When trying to build automake16 it will build autoconf261 if its not installed. After its installed it will give the following error: 'configure: error: Autoconf 2.52 or better is required'
When building autoconf261 it doesn't add a '-' to the suffix (like autoconf259 or autoconf253 do). So it installs the executables as *2.61 instead of *-2.61 (ex: autoconf2.61 instead of autoconf-2.61)
Also some help files and uninstall scripts don't work because of this.
>How-To-Repeat:
Uninstall any autoconf and/or automake packages
cd /usr/ports/devel/automake16/
make install clean
