>Description:
Suspend/Resume fails on resume with my Gateway 450ROG. Suspend works as expected. On resume the display backlight stays off and the system is hung. Recovery requires a power cycle. I'm using FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE build from source code CVSup as of 06-February, 2006 about 10:00 ~ 12:00 EST. My X server build is xorg-server-6.9.0 from ports CVSuped at approximately the same time. To work around this issue I pkg_deleted xorg-server-6.9.0 and pkg_added xorg-server-6.8.2_7. This made the problem go away.
>How-To-Repeat:
Upgrade a stock FreeBSD 6.0 laptop using make buildworld, make installworld. Build and install the xorg 6.9.0 port. Setup suspend to acpi state S3 on your hardware via sysctl. Suspend the laptop. Count to 10. Resume the laptop.
>Fix:
Reverting back to 6.8.2_7 works around the problem. I'll try the snapshot release too.
