 Hi,
 
 i fully agree with the PR submitter.
 As i got the maintainership for this port, i left the variables in the rc 
 script as is.
 I plan to modify the whole startup procedure as soon as the next version 
 of nut is released.
 If it is okay for the PR submitter, i would like to keep the rc file as it 
 is until the next nut release comes out.
