It works for me (with xorg 6.7).

Is your pgadmin3 built from ports? Did you build unicode-enabled version
or version that builds by default? Unicode-enabled version from ports
has known problems (that's why it is not built by default currently).

Can you try pgadmin3 binary distributed by pgadmin3 developers?
I contacted the maintainer of FreeBSD pgadmin3 build.
I am trying to merge his work to FreeBSD ports tree.
