>Description:
With the update of biology/artemis to v6, biology/act is now
redundant. Both ports install a similar file tree under PREFIX
and the only difference was the installation of one executable
in each case: art for artemis and act for, well act.
Moreover both packages, as distributed by the Wellcome Trust
Sanger Institute, are identical (ie. artemis and act are
distributed in a single tarball).
MD5 (artemis_compiled_v6.tar.gz) = 5ebd3db7edbb74eab5a84df9c693d4e1
SIZE (artemis_compiled_v6.tar.gz) = 3947732
MD5 (act_compiled_v3.tar.gz) = 5ebd3db7edbb74eab5a84df9c693d4e1
SIZE (act_compiled_v3.tar.gz) = 3947732
Thus, it is not necessary anymore to have users download
identical distfiles under different names and to have two
separate ports installing a similar file tree under different
names (PREFIX/artemis-${PORTVERSION} and
PREFIX/act-${PORTVERSION})
The act executable is now installed by the artemis port
(submitted in a companion PR)
Please note that I have already tried to contact the maintainer,
but I'm getting bounces with the address published in the
Makefile (chuynh at biolateral.com.au). I'm sending a copy to this
address anyway.
