ports/71338: [NEW PORT]: postfix-gps

Xin LI delphij at frontfree.net
Fri Sep 3 16:15:43 UTC 2004

Seems that the contents was destoried by the GPG signing process :-(
The differences between the old and the new version are:

1) Use pre-configure instead of after-patch, which makes automake18
   before calling it.
2) Make use of USE_GCC=3.3 to make this port usable under FreeBSD 4.x

The latest shar(1) archive can be obtained here:

	http://resources.delphij.net/postfix-gps

And finally I want to have a try of posting it, just in case...

XThis program is an implementation of a greylist policy service for
Xpostfix (2.1.0 and later). Greylisting is a concept to reduce the
Xamount of UCE ('spam') by technical means. Tests on production
Xsystems show that greylisting is hugely effective.

XConfiguration Instructions
X
XYou need to create a database for greylisting manually, and a user for
Xthis, too. Additionally, please copy the gps.conf-dist found in your
Xlocal etc directory.
X
XAfter you have all these done, modify the postfix master.cf and include
Xgps as policy server.
X
XAlso, you may want to include the following line into your crontab so
Xsystem will automatically do daily cleanup of the greylist table:
X
X4 0 * * * /usr/local/libexec/gps-maintain.pl -delete -eq 0 -age 86400 /usr/local/etc/gps.conf

X
END-of-postfix-gps/pkg-message
exit
