 the crash happens inside QT which apparently failed to load fonts it 
 needs. I have a report that installing the following packages fixes the 
 problem (I am quoting): "xorg-fonts-encodings-6.7.0 X.Org font encoding 
 files xorg-fonts-truetype-6.7.0 X.Org TrueType fonts"
 
 The report came from a user who experienced similar problem on FreeBSD 
 6-Current. I could not verify this report.
 
 In any case this seems to be a problem with QT package that failed to 
 install fonts.
